This painting is about long afternoon shadows and vibrant fall colors.  It is a view that I admire almost every day.  I love the change of the seasons up here, we have almost no fog, so the sunny autumn and winter days tend to sparkle with brilliance!   Notice the color changes in the shadow areas of the trees, and the textures that were added with Prismacolor pencils."
