"Whimsy's Story"
Whimsy and her big sister, Bella, flew all the way to California
from Massachusetts. Their friend Anne lifted them into a big pet
crate that said "Live Animals", tied in a bundle of sweet grass
hay, and took them to the airport. "Goodbye Whimsy, goodbye
Bella! I hope you like your new home at FiddleSong Farm," said
Anne.
When they arrived at the airport, they could hear people talking
about them "Hey Bob! I got me some billy goats!" said one
smiling man. "Nope, those are lambs," said Bob. "They sure are
funny looking lambs," said the first man. They lifted the crate
onto a wagon and rolled them up the ramp.
Grandma was there to meet them. "You are darling little goats!"
said Grandma smiling, "Let's get you home to the farm."
FiddleSong Farm was warm and sunny. It smelled of sweet
strawberries and was blooming with beautiful flowers everywhere.
Whimsy was not afraid, but she was VERY hungry! When
grandma came out to the barn carrying two bottles of warm milk,
Whimsy crawled right up in her lap to drink. Bella slurped the
other bottle right down. "There you go little ones," said Grandma.
"You are going to love it here!"
