| "Look closely at this pink poinsettia to see the veining lines that are etched into the paper while the paint is still wet. I had so much fun with this little painting, which was originally intended to be our 2002 Christmas card design. The festive background was laid in with a wet on wet technique. While working at Dell's Nursery, I met dozens of interesting people who worked in the industry. One of the nicest was George from Decorative Plants Sales in Brentwood. I loved to see his van pull into the parking lot, you never knew what treasures he was offering that day! This poinsettia was one that he grew in his greenhouses." |
